Acceptable Use Policy

The rules

baatao is a place to argue ideas, not to attack people. Disagreement is the whole point. Cruelty is not.

Not allowed

• Harassment. Targeted abuse, threats, doxxing, following someone around the site to attack them.
• Hate speech. Slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.
• Sexual content involving minors. Reported to law enforcement immediately and banned permanently.
• Other sexual / explicit content. baatao is a text-and-video debate platform. Sexual content of any kind belongs elsewhere.
• Violent threats, glorification of mass violence, or instructions for violence against people or animals.
• Spam and scams. Repetitive promotion, get-rich- quick schemes, fake charities, malware links.
• Impersonation of a real person you are not. Parody is OK if it's obviously labeled.
• Cheating the vote. Sock-puppet accounts, paid vote farms, vote brigading. We have integrity checks; we will use them.
• Breaking the service. Scraping, automation against the API beyond reasonable use, denial-of-service, exploitation of vulnerabilities. If you find a vulnerability, see Reporting below.

Enforcement

• Use the 🚩 Report button anywhere you see one. The queue is reviewed manually.
• We can remove content, suspend an account, end a live debate, or ban an account permanently. We try to scale the response to the severity.
• Appeals: reply to the suspension email. We'll re-review.

Email security@baatao.com. We'll acknowledge within 48 hours and work with you on a coordinated disclosure timeline.
